The sun seldom shines in Amsterdam.

But I love it anyway, for its crooked houses and waterways and moody mornings. I’m originally from sunny California, but have called Amsterdam home for the better part of a decade, along with my husband, two kids, and one fluffy dog. Past homes include Italy, Tunisia, Florida, Ireland, Chile, and Syria.

I have an MA in history from Leiden University, one of the oldest universities in Europe, and the setting for my first novel. No spoilers, but there are canal houses, old books, and a sprinkling of magic.

I copy edit manuscripts for fellow writers, with a speciality in fiction/memoir and MA/PhD theses. I also do workshops and create elegant, easy-to-manage websites for authors. If that’s what you need, please drop me a line!
